Some of my flowers are hand painted and I use an amazing mix of mediums to colour my everlasting flowers.
I use water colours to give a light subtle colouring and acrylics for a deeper colour, I mix the 2 together to get the right effect too sometimes. Alcohol markers are very effective on the edges of the paper, I use pastels applying these with makeup brushes! I have alcohol inks, I can also soak my scraps of crepe paper in water, then use the coloured water.
I have also used cold tea and coffee, which gives and aged looked to lots of flowers.
In the future I plan to experiment with some more natural dyes and colours, so watch this space for more info on how that works out!!
